Business Development Executive

About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO your primary objective will be to generate new leads and sales for Probus FX.
You will also be responsible for contributing to the development, enhancement, promotion and support of ProbusFX’s proprietary trading applications and management of sales and client relationships.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement and development of the Company’s vision and strategy for revenue generation
  • Identify new initiatives to improve service and enhance Probus FX’s offering
  • Develop and implement plan to capture business opportunities
  • Pitch the product offering to prospective clients through cold calling, networking and marketing
  • Prepare presentations for prospective clients
  • Liaise directly with marketing to create material for promotion
  • Use the CRM to manage new and existing business contacts and related activities
  • Make business case proposals to the CEO
  • Keep up to date on market activity and trends
  • Represent and report market, technical, and customer facing information and analysis data to the CEO and management group.
  • Set and achieve sales targets set with CEO
  • Attend and participate at the management group meetings

Candidate Profile

We are looking for the following qualities in the ideal candidate

  • 2-3 years’ experience in the FX industry in a similar role
  • University Degree or equivalent forex industry experience for the skills required.
  • Maintain calm and order under pressure and communicate professionally under stress.
  • Understanding of Forex and Financial Markets.
  • Knowledge of FX trading and trading technologies specifically MT4 is mandatory.
  • Proven track record in setting and achieving targets.
  • Superior customer relations skills and be self-motivated.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence by establishing rapport and trust with prospects and existing clients.
  • Use of CRM should be like 2nd nature and experience of using Sugar CRM is advantageous.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and ambitious.
  • To be team oriented with a positive attitude and an efficient worker.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are a must.
  • Confident communicator with flexibility to travel for networking and business generation activities.

The overall purpose of this role is to work closely with a team to ensure the smooth operation of the trading desk. You will receive training on all aspects of the Desk and its operation including administration, or the back end, of the platform. You will cooperate with all departments in delivering a professional service to all Clients. You will acquire thorough knowledge of the client journey so you can attend to their needs to the highest level.

Initially, you will receive training, relevant to your existing knowledge and experience. A summary of the main tasks and responsibilities for the role are:

  • Receiving and transmitting clients’ orders.
  • Obtaining FX pricing from liquidity providers.
  • Reviewing client accounts and commenting on trading activity.
  • Monitoring the platform for risk mitigation.
  • Maintaining the CRM.
  • Liaising directly with clients and providing general and technical support.
  • Ensuring the efficient management of relevant workflows and fulfilling client response turnaround times.
  • Reviewing and processing client onboarding applications for KYC and AML
  • Contributing to the Brokerage operations and participating in related projects.
  • Keeping up to date with Market information and monitoring trends in all major currencies.


Ideally you should have a friendly personality with a positive outlook like being part of a team and shouldn’t be afraid to use your own initiative. You will most likely have a passion for the FX market. You will want to succeed in the business by working with your colleagues to deliver a premium service to clients. More specific requirements and areas you should be able to demonstrate experience in are as follows:

  • Finance, Economics or Maths degree qualification or directly related working experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Computer literate, ideally with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and systems related to the FX business.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication manner (etiquette) with the ability to communicate detailed or complex information in an understandable way.
  • Ability to follow procedures and build good working relationships.
  • Willing to work on shifts.
  • CySEC Basic or Advanced Certification will be considered an advantage.

Sales Representative

About the role

An exciting opportunity for a sales performer, preferably experienced in FX.
This role will involve FX Sales to new and existing clients and the management of the client relationship.


  • Promote the company brand, products and services to target markets.
  • Identify business development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Focus on providing premium customer service.
  • Utilizes sales skills to achieve performance and result orientated goals.
  • Record all sales activity in CRM.
  • Communicate with Management regarding business trends, new services, products and distribution channels.
  • Work closely with Marketing department for identifying opportunities for Business Development and maximizing Marketing Promotions.
  • Adhere to guidelines and/or risk and compliance department policies and procedures.
  • Approach challenges in a professional manner and achieves defined targets.


  • A University degree in Economics/ Finance/ Banking/ Business or related field.
  • 1-2 years’ experience within the Financial Industry.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Target and result oriented.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Organised, methodological with a high attention to detail.
